Khyber Lodge is a traditional construction, four storey buildings each divided into four self contained units let as holiday accommodation. In keeping with most of Whitby the buildings are in elevated positions with multiple stairs to the front access door. There are no elevators provided.
Mews Cottage is of traditional two storey construction with two steps to the front access and a staircase to the upper floor. No elevator is provided.
All our accommodation is self catering.
We are not resident at any of the properties but do live locally and can attend the properties within ten minutes.
Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
All of the accommodation is located in the West Cliff area of Whitby which is currently subject to street parking restrictions using a scratch card permit system which we provide free of charge to guests.
The Mews Cottage has parking directly outside the property for two vehicles in a large private courtyard shared with other residents.
Each of the properties is accessed by using a supplied code number to either access a key safe or a digital lock at the front door.
2 Mews Cottage – Self Catering
This property has two storeys in a traditional layout and sleeps six with two double and two single bedrooms (one ground floor), 1 en suite shower room and 1 family bathroom with shower. There is a further WC adjacent to the ground floor single bedroom. Pick up/drop off is directly outside the front entrance. Access to the front door is via two steps into a small lobby that opens one way into the large dining/kitchen room the other into the lounge. Stairs take you up to the bathrooms and the bedrooms.
There is designated parking in the private car park immediately to the front of the cottage. The external area comprises a raised paved area immediately to the front of the cottage with a garden bench. The car park courtyard is shared with the occupiers of the adjacent properties.
Khyber Lodge Holiday Flats – self catering
Khyber Lodge is a double fronted terraced four storey building with a view of the lower harbour and sea from most flats. Access to the front involves several steps up to the entrance. Rear access is solely to flat 1 via a step. The accommodation is all self contained and comprises-
- Flat 1 ground floor and downstairs basement with two bedrooms, one with double bed and one with two single beds; lounge and kitchen; bathroom with shower over in addition to a shower room with wc.
- Flat 2 – ground floor with double bedroom, lounge and kitchen; bathroom with shower over.
- Flat 3 – first floor with double bedroom up two short flights of stairs lounge and kitchen; shower room with WC.
- Flat 4 – second floor up two short flights of stairs with two bedrooms, one with double bed and one with bunk beds; lounge and kitchen; bathroom with shower over.
Parking is on-street directly outside the property and currently subject to the use of a scratch card permit.
External area garden access is only from flat 1. The sunken garden is a level paved area to the front of the property.
